The only way to start at Victory is to come for an evaluation. At that time whether you are a beginner or a rider, we will know what the best direction is for you and what horse would fit your personality, skill sets etc. It takes about an hour and a half to go through the process and the fee is $50.
All students are taught the skills of natural horsemanship. Our horses are taught so that even the smallest child can properly halter, lead, groom, tack, do ground games and ride them!
As far as continuing to ride we offer a savings package! Private one time rides are $45. A package of ten will save you $100 so you invest only $350. The student will learn how to be proficient in handling their horse safely and correctly. If student is small or young, parent is encouraged to learn with them for only $150 parent add on!
As student is ready…and we try to advance them quickly… all can join a group lesson. We have all sizes, levels and types.
$300 = TEN GROUP SESSIONS UP TO 2 HOURS INCLUDES TIME ON AND OFF HORSE.
Beginner with others, taught by 2 instructors and apprentices, usually are advanced students instructing. Level 1 Vaquero
Advancing Beginner is a person that has had 1 package of private lessons and ready to join peers for exciting learning involving tasks and performances with their horses. Level 2 Vaquero
Intermediate can properly do ground preparation, walk, trot, canter and ride variety of horses. They can get horse ready to ride on own merit without help. Pre 3 and 3 Vaquero
Advanced can handle any horse given to them to use. They actually are enhancing the horse with each ride. Most are training to achieve some type of performance. All have been through our project program. They can wrangler a trail ride, teach and train both horses and people. Most are level 4’s in the Vaquero program.
Private lessons are available at additional cost – schedules permitting.
A few of our advanced students have free reign to manage the facility, sponsor programs, train horses and people to further the gospel…Krista Boeser, Michele Erwin, Bethany McCune, Jessica Hobbs, Kira Hydock, Chelsea Wise, Natalie Hennessy, Hannah and Sarah Lewis and Hannah Whitaker. These folks are/have been the crowns of Victory and we are honored that we have had them participate to teach both horses and especially Jesus Christ as Saviour! Praising God and asking for more of our students to take the stand.
Victory is proud, that during our 15 years of operations and our thousands of students – that many of our very own students are now our instructors. We believe age or amount of time should not be a factor of ability. Our students and our instructors are awesome! We have a membership to advance and train whoever wants to be involved. It is called the Vaqueros!
